MR. BLAKE

I met Mr Blake in a jazz club in New Orleans, covered in smoke from a Cuban cigar. He never looked at the stage, but he seemed to dictate the music’s tempo, as if it were his own soundtrack.

I have designed these black loafers to Mr Blake: classic but without the sense of déjà vu, discreet but not pale and with a certain quality of defiance… as if they were jazz.
